BSAC Compressor Operation

Image result for BSAC Compressor Operation

Want to be able to fill your own diving cylinders and learn more about the high-pressure gas compressors used to fill them?

BSAC’s Compressor Operation course is a great way to find out about compressors and how to use them.

The Compressor Operator course is open to anyone. It’s a practical way to get non-divers involved in the club, especially if they have family members who dive. No diving qualification is necessary to take part.

Your next steps – developing your skills

Regular practice at operating a compressor maintains confidence and will lead to opportunities to expand your skills. After this course you could further your gas-blending skills by doing Nitrox Gas Blender and Mixed Gas Blender Skill Development Courses (SDCs).

Or you could develop specific skills to expand your interests further, whether you are a diving member or non-diving member. Imagine being qualified in diver first aid or becoming a boat handler. Check out the Skill Development Courses (SDCs) you can get involved in.

If you are not already a diver, how about learning to dive on an Ocean Diver course. If you are already a diver you could progress your diver grade training.

Maybe you are thinking about becoming an SDC instructor, or want to improve your diver instructing skills? Further your instructing skills with BSAC.

Duration:2 Days   Cost: 6,000 THB

The BSAC compressor operator course teaches how to safely run and maintain a dive shop compressor. The course covers compressor design and theory and various types of compressors found in dive shop operations. We then look at safely filling scuba tanks and running the compressor essential for any divemasters or instructors looking to work in the dive industry. On the second day we look at compressor maintenance such as gas filters, oil changes, diagnostic of compressor problems, changing engines and pipe work. We run this course as part of the dive shop operations package and ask Gas Blender students to undertake the BSAC compressor operator first so that they can safely run the compressor.
