This course is demanding and realistic in its conduct, content and approach. Interaction discussion, variety and flexibility are stressed during skills training.

PURPOSE OF THE COURSE

This Core Level 3 rebreather rescue programme is an important and crucial step in expanding your knowledge and experience beyond a purely recreational level.

This unique course builds confidence and ability, providing the skills and knowledge to help you better understand how to respond safely and efficiently to surface and underwater emergencies.to a maximum depth of 35 metres/117 feet.

This programme is broken into two sections:

FIRST SECTION - THEORY

This theory or academic section, which any person may take and complete, followed, without obligation, the Second Section which is the practical session where you can learn with an Instructor the underwater skills necessary for this level of training and complete your certification.

When you purchase this programme on-line you are effectively purchasing the access for 6 months to the theoretical content, knowledge reviews and exam for this level of diver training, which consists of download PDF manuals with detailed information broken into 9 sections covering the following subjects:

SECOND SECTION - PRACTICAL TRAINING

With your RAID Instructor

Confined water - minimum 3 hour underwater training + Speciality requirements
Open Water - minimum 3 hours underwater and 4 Dives + Speciality requirements

NOTE: If the Diver already has complete a Speciality for the Rebreather they are using, then the added time for the Speciality is not required/included.

CERTIFICATION

Upon successfully passing the practical training you receive:

International Diver Certification
On-line logbook
Diver certification E or C-card
Unrestricted access to manuals

We must point out that the practical training cost (Second Section) is not included in the online fee. This cost must be discussed between yourself and the appointed RAID Dive Centre / Instructor who will complete the practical training.

PREREQUISITES for the Second Section

Subject to the RAID General Diving Standards, this may change without notice:

To be minimum of 18 years old or subject to the Rebreather Specialty programme.
To be certified a RAID Level 2 diver or equivalent
Minimum of 15 hours logged under open water on a rebreather or open circuit.
Submit a current Rescue Breathing/CPR Training and Oxygen Provider certificate (DAN/equivalent).
Documented proof of prerequisite requirements needs to be presented to the Dive Centre for approval prior to any in water training.

The RAID system is a comprehensive programme designed for a variety of rebreather units. The Core Level of education covers aspects which are common to all rebreathers and the unit specific speciality programmes cover information which is unique to the rebreather of your choice.

To start and qualify as a RAID rebreather diver you need to have completed both the core rebreather level and a unit specific Speciality course.

The unit speciality course for each rebreather only needs to be completed once.
